Mark R. Warner, Former governor of Virginia
Article Abstract:
Mark R. Warner was the first centrist Democrat to be elected as the state's governor by Virginian people in 2001, where majority from both the houses normally preferred to elect Republicans. After he was affirmed into the office, in January 2002, he discovered that the states projected deficit supposedly $700 million as actually more than $3 billion and devoted much of the next two years to budget cutting.
