British scholar and government economist Chaim Raphael died on Oct. 10, 1994 in London, England. He helped expedite the transportation of German refugees out of interment camps in the UK and US while serving as government liason officer in World War II. He also dabbled in crime mystery writing.

Starr, Kenneth W

Kenneth W. Starr involvement in politics can be traced back from the Reagan administration, where he worked as a young lawyer in the Justice Department. During Bush's administration, Starr was appointed solicitor general. In 1994, he became independent counsel for the Whitewater investigation.
