President Soeharto of Indonesia has led his country to become a stable, economically viable state. Vigorously anti-communist, he was favored by Western countries who invested heavily in Indonesia. He rose in the ranks of the Army and eventually assumed presidency. He was born on 1921 and has a wife and six children.
