Spencer Abraham

A biography is presented of former Michican senator, Spencer Abraham, who became secretary of the US Department of Energy in January 2001. Lebanese-born Abraham, who was Vice President Dan Quayle's deputy chief of staff in 1990-1, has been an active conservative in the Republican Party since the 1980s.

David Trimble
