Colorado Rockies' star Larry Kenneth Robert Walker was the first to break baseball legend Jim Rice's 1978 record by hitting 409 bases. That National League's 1997 Most Valuable Player remains humble despite his popularity and enjoys signing autogrpahs for young fans. Walker played for the Montreal Expos before he joined the Rockies.

Engineer Walker Cisler died on Oct. 18, 1994 at his home in Grosse Pointe, MI. He serves as the CEO of Detroit Edison Co., led maintenance and expansion work on the power system serving southeastern Michigan and was a supporter of nuclear energy.
