Volvo marine diesel engines now come with cellular telephones and antennas so that engine troubles can be diagnosed remotely. The cellular telephone can be connected by computers to Volvo Penta's central service center. Technicians can then download the needed diagnostic information which are normally available only to onboard technicians.
