Aseries of exhibitions will feature Rene Lalique's creations of jewels, silver pieces and glass. Collector Calouste Gulbenkian acquired the collection from Lalique whose Art Noveau style of jewelry encouraged the use of opals, amethysts, moonstones, chrysoprase, ivory, horn and glass.

Intergem surprises

An Intergem trade show featuring a historical review of jewelry made in Idar-Oberstein. Agate produced from water-wheel driven cutting mills and jasper from Neunkirchen will be featured in the show. Idar-Oberstein is a town in Germany famous for its jewelry making and gem-cutting.
