Interactive Magic will assist Kesmai in developing a boxed version of Air Warrior II, an offline game in which users can practice flying skills. The online version of Air Warrior II will be carried by America Online. Kesmai currently has 20,000 online users, and hopes to add another 5 million players with the help of America Online. Air Warrior II will have several new enhancements, including sophisticated artwork, a new user interface, new terrain system, better graphics, more standalone missions, artificial intelligence-equipped opponents and a mission editor. The boxed version will be available in Aug 1996, and Air Warrior II for Windows will be available in Apr 1996.

Tell me a story
Article Abstract:
Computer game developers are increasingly relying on high-tech graphics and effects to sell games, but overlooking a well-planned storyline can result in games without longevity. A high-quality storyline draws users into the game and keeps them in suspense during the game. The recent trend in the gaming industry is to impress users with advanced technology, such as full-motion video and texture-mapped polygonal graphics. High-tech games are appealing to users, but without an absorbing story the games soon become repetitive no matter how impressive the graphics are. Games with good graphics and poor storylines include Doom, Duke Nukem 3D and MechWarrior 2. Games with quality storylines include Dark Forces, Strife and Terra Nova: Strike Force Centauri. In order to be successful, games must incorporate the latest technology and an entertaining story as well.
