Article Abstract:

The founder of Celia Doll Co., dollmaker Celia Ashton, started making dolls, using leftover pieces of fabric, to celebrate her daughter's first birthday. Thirty years later the company creates spirited, handmade porcelain dolls inspired by nursery rhyme illustrations.

Virginia Turner's destiny

Article Abstract:

Virginia Turner started her career as a dollmaker in 1981 and began creating original porcelain dolls in 1989. She also designs most of the clothes for the 15,000 dolls that Turner Dolls manufacturers each year.
