Article Abstract:
US and Far Eastern companies have been most willing so far to establish pan-European distribution operations. Among European companies themselves, there is now a growing realisation that it is important to understand the markets and business cultures of other countries, and that national approaches to distribution do not necessarily work well on an international basis. Most top UK distribution firms now have operations in continental Europe, while many continental European firms are now looking to establish a presence in the UK.
