Philatelists enjoy finding variations from normal stamps. The Huck Press, which once printed stamps for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, is no longer in use because of modern technology. Some of the stamps engraved were interesting but not rare.

Sheets of postage stamps that are not cut properly are called guttersnipes by collectors because of the appearance of spaces between the stamps that are called gutters. Several examples of stamps with gutters are presented.
