Cutting a 550-carat kunzite: advanced faceting project
Article Abstract:
Techniques in cutting precious stones are presented. The process involves 16 steps to demonstrate the cutting of a 985-carat piece of kunzite which weighed 550 carats at 40 mm x 5 mm after cutting. Michael Gray sheds light on the faceting and cutting process.
