GATHER to aid Katrina victims
Article Abstract:
Flamework artists Debi Johnson and Ofilia Cinta came up with a raffle to raise as much as $10,000 for Habitat for Humanity to help victims of Hurricane Katrina. The raffle is named Glass Artists Together for Habitat Emergency Relief (GATHER) and will include mounted collections of glass beads, with final draws to be held in Kansas City, Missouri on July 22, 2006.

Oceanic organic lampwork beads
Article Abstract:
Methods of designing organic lampwork beads that imitate ancient glass are discussed. A technique for creating imperfect beads, which can expand creativity, is explained. A list of the materials needed, as well as the specific steps to be followed, is also presented.
