Have point-and-shoot zooms gotten too darn long?
Article Abstract:
The current standard length limit for point-and-shoot zoom lenses of 140mm reaches the effective limit on long lenses. As P/S zoom lenses grow longer, problems develop in framing and focusing accuracy, focusing parallax and communication between electronics and focusing gear.

Another pro slide film for point & shoots!
Article Abstract:
The new Kodak Ektachrome E100S and E100SW are professional slide films that offer excellent color and sharpness when used in point-and-shoot cameras. Like other pro slide films, they should be stored in a cool place and used before their expiration date for best results.

Is the CR2 the wimp of the litter?

Some camera manufacturers are designing models that use CR2 batteries to take advantage of their smaller size and weight. However, CR2s are less efficient and give 25% fewer exposures than the larger 123A lithium batteries.
