Heavenly peridot

Article Abstract:

Skilled gem cutter Andreas Becker was able to create exquisite peridot gems out of olivine crystals that came from the Esquel meteorite. The gems were a success when exhibited at the 1991 Intergem show held in Idar-Oberstein, Germany, the European gem cutting center.

Going Dutch

Article Abstract:

The Netherlands Lapidary Club Show in the fall of 1991 was an excellent introduction to the gem and mineral scene in Europe. Jewelry making and lapidary work are more extensive in the Netherlands than anywhere else in Europe.
