How to form giant-scale canopies
Article Abstract:
Stretch forming is the simplest method and vinyl is the easiest material for making a plastic canopy for a giant-scale model plane. Instructions are given for constructing the mold, oven, and forming supports, stretching the plastic, and cutting the canopy.

Build a functional giant-scale canopy
Article Abstract:
Detailed instructions are given for building a canopy for an AL-1 aircraft with a 97-inch wingspan and a 72-inch fuselage. The canopy consists of clear flat sheet plastic, an aluminum frame, and an aluminum piano hinge.

Festival giants: giant scale in the windy city

A review is presented of the 1999 Chicagoland Festival of Giants, held at the Fox Valley Aero club's flying field. This event is one of the biggest IMAA fly-ins in the midwest.
