Ilford Delta 400 has been introduced to compete with Kodak's T-Max 400. The film has a single layer emulsion which diminishes light scattering and improves image resolution. It also requires less burning in of highlight details than found with T-Max.

The war continues: 35mm vs. 2 1/4

The 35mm format, which offers autofocus, has a slight advantage in terms of viewing and focusing over the 2 1/4 format, which requires manual cranking. The 35mm format is more convenient, but the 2 1/4 format performs better.
