Maldives turtles salute World Wildlife Fund
Article Abstract:
The Hawksbill turtle, one of several depicted on the World Wildlife Fund stamps, is an endangered Pacific Ocean turtle. Other endangered sea turtles depicted include the Loggerhead and the Leatherback. The behavior of sea turtles is described, as well as the designs of the commemorative stamps.

Ireland joins in salute to radio centenary
Article Abstract:
The commemorative stamps honor the Irish-Italian Guglielmo Marconi and his presentation of a successful wireless in 1895. An accounting of his work and a history of the early radio in Ireland is presented. Marconi died at 63 in 1937 Rome, Italy, of a heart attack.

Guyana Postal Authority releases baseball salute
Article Abstract:
On Feb 6, 1995 special commemorative stamps were issued by Guyana to honor Nolan Ryan. The issues is a set of 12 stamp/card combinations. The baseball career of Nolan is briefly discussed and the issue is described.
