Article Abstract:
The Missoula-Phillipsburg-Helena region of Montana is filled with sapphires. These minerals has become commercially feasible due to the oxyhydrogen flame fusion method developed by Auguste Verneuil in 1891 resulting in improved color and clarity of sapphires.
