NASA's mothership
Article Abstract:
The NASA Mothership model airplane was developed in 1968 to carry and drop small, unconventional R/C models of re-entry vehicles which can land on a runway. Several modifications have been made to adapt the plane for other uses. The present use of the plane is for the sampling of toxic smoke.

Loflyte-The airplane that learns

Loflyte, a model airplane made by Accurate Automation Corp.'s Robert Pap, was made to assess the feasibility of using advanced neutral network to control a hypersonic vehicle. Testing of this model will be done on Nov. 1997 at Edwards Air Force Base in CA.

Russian space shuttle and mothership
Article Abstract:
A description is presented of the space shuttle and mothership model airplanes which were developed by pilot Hans Buhr. The method used to pilot the two models and the servo which releases the space shuttle are discussed.
