Photographers always face the dilemma of staying with the equipment they own or trying to buy into the latest camera and lens technology. The advantage of being a photography magazine reporter is the opportunity to test various innovations, even if the loan period is as short as two weeks.

So-so show, but ... a small but scintillating selection of new equipment from America's biggest photo-industry event
Article Abstract:
The 1993 PMA show was not distinguished for innovation in cameras and photographic equipment. The highlight, ironically enough, was a new single lens reflex camera system from lens manufacturer Sigma. New film emulsions, autofocus cameras and lenses are briefly examined.
