Kodak recycles about 63% of its Fun Saver disposable cameras. Photofinishers ship the used cameras to Kodak for a small refund, and an outside contracter dissembles and sorts the pieces. Plastic covers, viewfinders and lenses are ground and recycled. Mechanisms are tested and reused if possible.
