Oval apex: An alternative oval design for class rings
Article Abstract:
Class rings using oval gems, with no picture on the bottom or any frosting of figures for the crown are presented, but a good class ring replacement is one with increased brightness and dispersion, if cut with higher refractive index (RI) materials. Complete technical data with skill level requirement of 2/5 is described.

An introduction to concave faceting
Article Abstract:
Concave faceted gems as compared to flat-faceted gems look good even while stationary; process for creating concave faceted gems is given. It is observed that domingo the crown of a stone and then cutting concave facets into it can produce interesting effects.
