Patriotic covers chronicle WWII events
Article Abstract:
A chronology of World War II is presented and some statistics are related. Memories of the crowded troop ships and air transports bringing the American soldiers home after the armistice are recounted. Samples of the cachets and covers commemorating many of the war events including VE Day, are described.

A Greenland boomerang
Article Abstract:
A stamp collector sent every post office in Greenland a self-addressed, stamped envelope in hopes of receiving letters with postmarks from all post offices there. Eighty percent of them returned over a two-year period, and one letter appeared 25 years later in a stamp dealer's catalog.

Dating a stampless cover from Marysville, California
Article Abstract:
An envelope with a postmark but no stamp was researched and found to have been mailed Dec 1855 to Westminster, West Virginia. The techniques for dating the cover was described.
