AM expanded band allotment
Article Abstract:
The FCC plans to expand the AM band spectrum to 1705 kHz and will notify stations eligible to migrate to new channels. The stations' application deadline is mid-June, 1997. Stations not awarded allotments can petition the FCC for reconsideration. Stations may be interested in migrating as a way of reducing AM signal interference. A table is included detailing the stations eligible to move under the allotment plan.
