Reverse bezel
Article Abstract:
Reverse bezels can be fabricated by drilling or punching a hole in the center of a sheet metal. A tapered mandrel is then hammered vertically through the hole and the stone is set in the metal. Wires are soldered and bent over the center of the hole to hold the stone in place.

A metalsmithing project that combines different colors to make a stylish and wearable cabochon is presented. Silver and gold pins can be combined to form the background for a blue stone.
