Slow-flight design contest winners

A slow-flight model airplane design contest launched in Jan 1994 has finally come up with the winners. Adrian Palamarchuk and Richard Orobitg of Daytona Beach, FL. garnered first prize in the conventional class category. Kent Nichols also got $1,500 for first prize in this category.

R/C flight takes Manhattan

The first circumnavigation of Manhattan by a model airplane is recapped. The feat was accomplished Sep 2, 1991, by Angelo Lanci and his eight-person crew. A Senior Telemaster airplane was used.
