Space fillers never get better

Article Abstract:

History & "fluff" as stamp subjects

Article Abstract:

The earlier career of Howard Hughes as a giant pioneer in aviation and the designer of aircraft is recounted. He was a pilot who in 1938 broke the round-the-world flight record. The new record was 91 hrs 14 min and 10 sec. He would make an excellent candidate for a commemorative stamp.
