Article Abstract:
Most stamp collectors limit their collections because it is very difficult and expensive to obtain stamps from each country. Collections can be limited to particular countries, topics or events. Advice is provided for error, freak and oddity stamp collecting.

The American Philatelic Society has named Steven J. Rod, a long-time stamp collector with many philatelic publications to his credit, the winner of its 1993 Ernest A. Kehr 'Future of Philately' award. Rod writes two regular columns for 'Linn's Stamp News.'
