Stability vs. maneuverability

Article Abstract:

Hobbyists who are eyeing to improve the maneuverability of their model airplanes are encouraged to use 20 to 25 ounces of wing loadings. This would not only make the model optimal for free flight, but actually increase its stability against disturbances.

The five major configurations of tailless airplanes include the plain, swept back, combined plain and swept back, delta and the swept forward. The advantages and disadvantages of each configuration are discussed.
