As a promotional to further the collecting of Israeli postage stamps, a special reception was held in New York City sponsored by the Israeli Postage Authority and the Intergovernmental Philatelic Corp of New York City (IGPC). The late Leonard Bernstein was honored with a special Israeli showcard.

C3a with straight edge realizes $71,500

Daniel F. Kelleher Co's Nov 1995 auctions, General Sales Nos 596 and 596a, featured the sale of one of the most storied rarities in philately: a US Curtiss Jenny Airmail Invert stamp. The rare invert brought a price of $71,500. The Robert H. Cunliffe Collection was the focus of sale 596a.

Greg Manning September sale realizes $2,900,000
Article Abstract:
Ninety-three percent of the offerings were sold at the auction which surpassed it pre-sale estimate of only $2,148,000. Bidders came from all over the world to Fairfield, NJ for the sale. In addition dealers wired and faxed bids to the auction. Some of the materials on sale are described.
