The Japanese occupation of the Philippines during the second World War is represented by various stamp series produced from October 1943 to January 1945. Jose P. Laurel led a puppet government after the Japanese 'liberated' the Philippines from American colonial rule.

"Bronco Charlie" Miller: the last Pony Express rider
Article Abstract:
Charlie Miller, the last of the Pony Express riders lived to the age of 105. Even as an old man, he enjoyed participating in parades and exhibitions. Several stamps have been issued to honor the short-lived postal service called The Pony Express.
