A stamp dealer recounts how a chance meeting with a young man in a stamp shop led him to a collection offered for $15,000. In a farm house sitting almost in the road in Woodstock, VT, the initially sceptical dealer bought 30 albums of US, Canadian and UK stamps which he late sold for a vast sum.

The colorful life and times of Charles J. Phillips
Article Abstract:
Charles J. Philips was a stamp collector and dealer who had many famous people among his friends. He shared his love of stamp collecting with King George of England even before he became king. Several anecdotes about Phillips' activities as a philatelist are related. He died June 2, 1940.

Kelsey, a member of the American Stamp Dealers Assn and the American Philatelic Society organized more than 20 stamp shows each year. He used the name Adventure Stamps since 1972 for his stamp dealership. Highlights of his life are recounted.
