Goldsmith Daniel Brush's designs are likened to a butterfly which undergoes a process in order to become a beautiful creature. His designs in pure gold, fossil ivory, gems and steel were exhibited at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC. His works that have drawn attention are his domes.

Jewelry artist Paula Dawkins' entry into the jewelry business came by chance. In 1971, a friend advised her that jewelry making would be a profitable venture. She then invested $250 and began making jewelry which she sold at a craft show in Richmond, VA.
