Transferring etched designs

Article Abstract:

A computer graphics program allows the easy transfer of etchings onto gold or silver. Materials to be used include a press 'n' peel acetate and a ferric chloride as mordant solution. Clear overhead transparency sheets are used for easy control and manipulation of images.

Low-tech metal etching

Article Abstract:

Copper, brass, or any other metal can be etched with intricate designs without the conventional process of overlay soldering, sawing, filing, and engraving. The process depends two factors namely, mordant and resist, to create the etched metal.
