Triple first day ceremony at the MEGA-Event
Article Abstract:
The Mar 17, 1995 first day ceremony is described. The first stamp was a 32 cent peel and stick sheetlet of the US flag. The second stamp was the design of the back end of a Fleetwood Cadillac representing classic cars. The third stamp depicted a jukebox. A history of the invention of the jukebox is given.

Moore, NY ceremony honors Marilyn Monroe
Article Abstract:
Monroe's birthday was celebrated at 500 US post offices on June 1, 1995, with the issue of the new Marilyn stamp, the first in a planned 'Legends of Hollywood' series. Planet Hollywood restaurants in 23 locations and Monroe, NY were sites of special events. Five pictorial cancels were issued.

Philatelists limited at first day ceremony

The Jun 16, 1993, ceremony celebrating the release of Rock n' Roll/Rhythm and Blues stamps at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York, NY was overcrowded. The set of seven stamps sold at the two-hour ceremony depicts legendary blues and rock musicians, including Dinah Washington.
