A Southern tradition
Article Abstract:
Every Saturday, people from all over the United States come to a little town in the mountains of Southwest Virginia to dance and listen to bluegrass and country music at the Carter Family Fold. Janette and Joe Carter have carried on the tradition started by their parents, A.P. and Sara, and their aunt Maybelle, who were the first group inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Former President Jimmy Carter states that every important decision he has ever made was influenced by events on the farm in Archery, GA, where he grew up. He feels that he was particularly influenced by the African American neighbours he knew as a child.

Savor the flavors of Chinatown
Article Abstract:
A place in Washington D.C. called the Chinatown has many authentic Chinese restaurants, which makes one feel that this is the root of the Chinese Americans of Cantonese. The different foods served in these restaurants are discussed.
