A little slice of heaven

Article Abstract:

Oxford, Maryland is a small town that has a lot of personality and history. The town's amenities include the Oxford-Bellevue Ferry, several bed-and-breakfasts and an old-fashioned library. Oxford was the first port on the Eastern Shore and is thought to be the location where James Michener wrote part of his book 'Chesapeake.'

A visit to the two national parks, The Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Historical Park located in Maryland and the Great Falls Park located in Virginia, is described. Both these recreational areas offer breathtaking scenery and outdoor activities such as hiking, horseback riding, and biking.
