Harold R. Foster, who authored and illustrated the Sunday comic strip "Prince Valiant" in the 1930s, is considered by some to be one of the best artist-storytellers of the era. Items from the comic strip such as books, calendars, and stamps are still prized by collectors in the 1990s.
