A simple firewood jig

Article Abstract:

Instructions are given for building a sled-like device for holding firewood of two to three inch diameter. Instead of stopping to saw each small piece individually, a bundle of wood, held together in the jig, can be sawed as one. Material for the jig cost about $45.

Building a firewood rack

Article Abstract:

A firewood rack has several advantages. It keeps the bottom layer of stacked firewood from the ground and prevents rotting. A free-standing rack allows better circulation and helps in drying the wood. Step-by step instructions are given for building the rack.
