A taste of Spain
Article Abstract:
Carolyn and Rick Soto renovated the kitchen of their 1930's Spanish style single-story home, step by step and all by themselves. They did the renovation in two phases, at first, applying a fresh coat of paint on cabinets, buying new appliances, installing track lighting, and vaulting the ceiling and in second phase they swapped the locations of the kitchen and dining room, used new tiling, had new kitchen island and converted the old kitchen into an airy, bright, eat-in place.

Star turn: A formerly dark kitchen shines, thanks to an expansive new scheme
Article Abstract:
Charles and Susan Fradin's Los Angeles house was beautiful but the kitchen was dreary and lackluster, hence they renovated it by combining the 1920/1930's style with the modern outlook and gave the kitchen a whole new face. They expanded the kitchen, put on white subway tiles, built a white lacquer island in the center of the kitchen, installed new storage cabinets and transformed the look of the kitchen.
