The Dataw Island home of Clyde and Peggy Turbeville on the South Carolina coast combines old-fashioned and contemporary ideas and designs to create a unique exterior look. Charleston designer Ti Hilkhuijsen helped to create a combination of an unusual blue-green color, many windows, and interesting architectural details.

Article Abstract:

Carillon Beach is a 104-acre community situated about 20 miles west of Panama City and 30 miles east of Destin at Phillips Inlet. The neo-traditional planned community was the brainchild of William Biggs Sr. and his son. Old-fashioned designs adorn most of the houses in the community.

A colorful curtain call

Article Abstract:

An interior designer improved the appearance of the living room of a house in Atlanta, GA, using floral fabrics. Soft plaids and solid hues were also employed to create a cozy atmosphere inside the room while family mementos added a nostalgic touch.
