The American Craft Council will present artists Kenneth Ferguson, Karen Karnes, and Warren Mackenzie the Gold Medal award in recognition of their contribution to their respective fields. The ceremonies will be held on November 7, 1998 at the Landmark Center in St. Paul, MN.

American Craft Council Awards 2000
Article Abstract:
The awards given by the American Craft Council in 2000 are discussed. Gold medals were won by sculptor L. Brent Kington and textile designer Cynthia Schira. Awards of distinction were given to the John C. Campbell Folk School and the Textile Museum in Washington DC.

This year's gold medal was awarded to jewelry craftsman John Prip. Other award winners included Beatrice Wood, Nancy Marks, Samuel C. Johnson, Karen Johnson, Joyce and Edgar Anderson and others, for a total of 19 honorees.
