America's favorite trolley
Article Abstract:
The Toonerville comic strip drawn by Fontaine T. Fox in the early 20th century inspired the creation of replicas of a trolley that appeared in the strip. The trolley is featured in the strip as an uncontrollable vehicle driven by a cantankerous man and causing distress for its passengers.
