Beach-building on a lake or pond
Article Abstract:
A father describes how he encouraged his small children to play in the family pond by building a sandy beach for them. HIs first attempt with a truck load of sand resulted in a mud puddle. Later refinements produced the beach. Tips are given on buying sand and creating the home beach.

The digger pond
Article Abstract:
The digger pond is designed to use water from another source, such as a brook. Logs and stones are placed across the brook. This creates a waterfall which, in turn, develops a 'natural' pond.
