Article Abstract:

Possumhaw (Ilex decidua) is a deciduous holly that grows to 15 to 25 ft. and produces many shiny-red berries that remain on the branches after all leaves have fallen in autumn. Other Ilex varieties with berries of different colors are also available. A male plant is needed to produce fruits.
