Clock upon the shelf
Article Abstract:
Shelf clocks became common in the US in the early 19th century, when clockmakers such as Eli Terry and Seth Thomas began making and selling small, spring-based clocks to buyers who found tower clocks too costly. Several varieties of collectible shelf clocks are described.

Steiff: the premier bear

Germany's Steiff Co first introduced the teddy bear in 1903. The firm continues to make and sell soft toys with movable joints like the original teddy bear, but it is classic models like the Zotty and Petsy bears that most appeal to collectors.
