Collecting the Erie Canal
Article Abstract:
The Erie Canal was opened in 1825 and extended 360 miles across New York State. As the longest canal in the world at that time, it was regarded as one of the great wonders of the world. Collectibles of canal nostalgia include paintings, postage stamps, china plates, broadsides and maps.

O'Neill is known mainly for her kewpie drawings, which first appeared in 1909 in 'Ladies Home Journal.' She has also done many other types of illustrations. A guide to prices of her drawings and tips on collecting are given.
