James and Whitney Fairchild, vice presidents of design at Ralph Lauren, planned their Hamptons dream house as per the 18th-century style and then signed architect Katherine McCoy to convert their dream house into reality. The design and furnishings of the dream house are described.

Angus Wilkie and L. A. Morgan have reconstructed a 19th century house in Hadlyme, Connecticut. The house was previously a farmhouse, and has been restored in a style sympathetic with its original use and design.
