Affirmative action for women; more than a case of simple justice
Article Abstract:
The gender gap in income for public employees was seen to be more a result of poor and incomplete information that intentional discrimination. Reforms recommended and discussed include public pensions, income tax changes, and changes in education and job structure. Such reforms would be more helpful to the cause of equality for women than affirmative action programs presently utilized since they set up a welfare state which does not really serve the needs of the poor and socially disadvantaged.

Wind endurance
Article Abstract:
The International Standards Organization has proven that its classification format for structural wind-resistance is inappropriate. Thus, structural engineers and insurance companies should combine their efforts in developing more accurate wind resistance ratings for commercial buildings. However, altering this classification format would be costly and require great changes in program coding, data collection and data reporting for several insurance companies.

Pre-World War II baseball gloves with an endorsement are the most popular with collectors. Some try to collect as many of the 30 different company labels as possible. Many collectors prefer gloves that have been used in professional games.
